Your Story By Natasha Todorovic
I made the decision on 21 Jan 2017 I was going to take it seriously.
By that I mean, no plans to Forest Gump it, but just start. That day my son and I went to our first Park Run and my serious interest in running began.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s been frustrating – injury has plagued me every kilometre of the way. Shin splints, metatarsalgia, neuroma of the foot, bursitis of the hip and knee pain BUT I won’t give up.
I’m repeating week 2 of my current program, my current head cold means I’ll stretch tomorrow and although it’s going to be a long hard slog, I WILL keep going.
This photo is when I PB’d Park Run at 27.03 mins some 4 weeks later. I want that smile back – I want that feeling of (exhausted) achievement and having done something for ME.
I have dedicated my life to my kids, husband, family, work, friends (and I love it) but this is something that makes me feel I’m worth it, it’s meaningful and I’m fulfilled.
I decided to become a Diva as I know with the support of a plan and fellow Diva’s I CAN do this and I WILL.
